Ms.Yankila Sherpa, Vice President of T-HELP was President of Trekking Agents Association of Nepal (TAAN) from 1996-1998 and Federation of Women Entrepreneurs (FWEAN) from 2005-2007.

Former State Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation of the Government of Nepal, Yankila Sherpa has also served as the Assistant Minister of Tourism (2005/06), Member of the National Assembly (Upper House of Parliament) from 2001 till 2006. She has served the country in various capacities as the Senate Member of Tribhuwan University Council, Hon. Secretary of the Caucus of Women MPs, Member of the Privatization Committee of the Ministry of Finance, Advisor of Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA), Advisor of Mountain Spirit (MS), and Managing Director of Snow Leopard Trek.

She has been awarded the prestigious "Priyadarshini Award" as the Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur of Nepal in 1999 by Federation of International Women Entrepreneurs in India in 2000. For her company's outstanding contribution in the field of environment friendly tourism, she has received the Abraham Conservation Award by WWF.

She was born and brought up in a remote mountain village of Nepal called Olangchung Gola of the Taplejung district, bordering Tibet and Nepal . A student of literature and sociology, she has received trainings in tourism and women entrepreneurship.
